RESERVATIONS & PAYMENTS
Please download, complete and return the registration form along with your trip deposit of $400 per person ($1000 for Antarctica cruises). This will ensure your booking with Nature Expeditions International, Inc. (NEI), providing maximum enrollment has not already been reached. Due to the limited seasonal nature for many destinations and trip preparation timelines, we advise you to book your trip at least 4 months in advance. A $50 per person booking fee will be assessed to high priority reservations made within 2 weeks of trip departure. After receiving your reservation, confirmation will be mailed to you along with detailed pre-departure materials (including insightful destination information, clothing recommendations, suggested reading lists, etc.). Final payment of the land cost is due 60 days prior to departure. Please note that in certain cases, the deposit and payment policy of NEI’s worldwide suppliers will supercede NEI’s policy.

INSURANCE
We strongly recommend that all participants obtain a short-term travel insurance policy. Trip cancellation insurance reimburses you for non-refundable air and land costs should you have to cancel your trip due to personal or family illness. NEI offers a comprehensive travel insurance plan at a significant discount to its trip members. A brochure outlining coverage will be sent to you immediately upon receipt of reservation or as requested.

PRICING
Prices given for the expeditions are per person based on double occupancy quoted in US dollars. A single supplement charge will be applied when requested or a roommate is unavailable. Every effort has been made to guarantee accurate pricing through the year 2007. However, currencies around the world, particularly in developing countries, do fluctuate constantly and NEI reserves the right to adjust trip prices prior to departure to reflect drastic changes to exchange rates and/or park/entrance fees.

WHAT’S INCLUDED IN PRICE
All vehicle transportation and transfers; soft adventure activities as stated in the itinerary; accommodations; meals as stated in the itinerary, entrance/park fees unless stated otherwise; service and porterage charges; expert instruction and leadership.

WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED IN PRICE
Airfare, passports, visas, personal insurance, alcoholic beverages, laundry, items of a personal nature, airport departure taxes, additional tips to local guides, boat or camp crews.

CUSTOM ITINERARIES
Every one of NEI’s programs has been thoroughly researched and designed to provide you with what we believe to be the most rewarding travel experience currently available on the market. We are also able to design tailor made expeditions for the traveler(s) who has specific destinations or travel goals not already in the fabric of our programs. In the past, NEI has worked with a number or individuals, colleges and universities, museums and special interest groups to create specialized expeditions. Due to the time consuming nature of creating these trips, NEI requires a non-refundable trip development fee of $300 which will be credited toward the final balance.

CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICIES
If you need to cancel your trip, please notify us in writing or by fax immediately. The refund due is calculated from the day we receive cancellation notice. The refund amount is calculated based on the following schedule:

Number of days prior to departure. Cancellation fee per person:
    90+days         $200
    60–89 days    full deposit amount
30–59 days    50% of trip cost
    0–29 days      no refund

NEI reserves the right to cancel any itinerary for any reason (i.e. acts of God, strikes, war, etc.) that would jeopardize the safe logistical operation of any trip, in which case all moneys received to date will be refunded and considered full and final settlement. In the event that a trip must be delayed or canceled, NEI is not responsible for any pre-trip expenses incurred by the participant, including, but not limited to, non-refundable airline tickets or penalties, passports, visas, or special clothing. Please note that there are no refunds for any unused portion (i.e. meals, tours) of a program.

RESPONSIBILITIES & CONDITIONS
NEI, its Owners, Agents and Employees act as agents for owners, contractors and operators providing field travel services and assume no responsibility for any damages, including personal injury or death, property damage or loss, in connection with any service resulting from forces beyond NEI’s control including, but not limited to: Acts of God, war, strikes, delays, terrorism, equipment failure and government restrictions or regulations.

Trip participants agree that they are in sufficiently good health and assume the responsibility of choosing a program that matches their physical abilities and interests. Participants also agree to review all pre-trip departure materials including preventative health and hygiene measures, clothing and luggage recommendations.

NEI reserves the right to make reasonable changes to the accommodations as well as the itinerary where it is deemed advisable and/or in the best interest and well being of the participants. NEI reserves the right to decline to accept or retain any member(s) or prospective member(s) if the leader feels that their continued participation would prove harmful to their physical well being or the well-being and enjoyment of the group. Amount of refund will be determined by NEI in its sole discretion in these circumstances.

NEI reserves the right (unless specifically objected to by a participant) to take photographic or film records of any of its trips and to use any photographic or film records for commercial and/or promotional purposes.

AIRLINE & CRUISE CLAUSE
All arrangements for airline transportation are made by the respective airlines, which companies shall not have to incur any responsibility or liability to any person taking an expedition except their liability as common carriers. Nor shall such carriers be held responsible of any act, omission, or event occurring after the passenger has disembarked from the conveyance. The usual passage contract in use by the carrier, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between said carrier and the passenger. All rates are based on tariffs to be placed in effect and are subject to adjustment in the event of changes therein. The air transportation services of any IATA/ARC member may be used. Similar responsibility as noted above applies to all types of carriers.

Upon sending deposit and reservation form, the depositor acknowledges that he/she has read and fully understands the above terms and conditions, and consents to to be bound by them.
